Fashion

Christine Stucki – Ruby Fearless

  1. What’s your favourite Farmers brand?Ruby Fearless
I’m so excited that Farmers are now stocking I AM by Andrea Moore, nothing beats a Kiwi brand with the most amazing, original patterns.
  2. What’s your favourite source for keeping up to date with all the latest fashion/trends?
Instagram! I can’t get off it. Seriously just google #NZFW or #NYFW and you’re sorted.
  3. What is your biggest fashion faux pas?
Wearing a piece of clothing only one way. Push the boundaries, and play ‘dress ups’ with everything new you introduce to your wardrobe. Sometimes it doesn’t work, but you won’t know if you don’t try.
  4. What are you looking forward to in the New Collection?
Matching rusty red with dusky pink – Two of the Spring 2016 Pantone colours!!

Nami and Pascale – Serendipity Ave

  1. Who do you look to for fashion inspiration? Serendipity Ave
As bloggers we have some blogger crushes we ‘stalk’ on a regular basis! Talking: Brooke Testoni and we love love love fashion icon Christine Centenera – she can make a potato sack look good! But we mostly bounce ideas of each other and influence our style that way.
  2. What are you looking forward to in the New Collection?
We LOVE that Andrea Moore has joined the force, we love NZ brands! Also Denim Republic and Calvin Klein, we love a good pair of denim and they just know how to make them fit right!
  3. What is your top fashion/style tip?
Don’t follow every trend that comes in, find your own style that suits your body shape and stick to that! If you want to wear big fluffy jackets every day, do it and make sure you own it girlfriend! Also another tip is to always buy your tops a size bigger it makes stuff look more expensive and effortless – plus it’s comfortable so it’s a win win!
  4. Tell us why you love Farmers?
What we love about Farmers is that it’s your one stop for all items to look fab whether you want to dress up your face, your body or your home it’s all under one roof. Winning!

Antoninette Bonbon –Bonbon Girls

  1. Who do you look to for fashion inspiration? Serendipity Ave
I am always checking my favourite style blogs, my go to’s are Thrifts and Threads, Inthefrow and Feral Creature, their Instagram accounts are all amazing too!
  2. What’s your favourite source for keeping up to date with all the latest fashion/trends?
I’m on Rachel Zoe’s mailing list and I feel like she is always so ahead of the times. I love reading her emails as she’s such a trendsetter and always knows what looks are coming next.
  3. Tell us what you love about Farmers?
Farmers have such a great diversity in their clothes and there is something available for everyone. I have noticed drastic changes in their new season and I’m pretty excited about it!

Simone Anderson –Journey To Health

  1. What’s your favourite Farmers brand?Simone Anderson
I love Whistle clothing from Farmers – it’s so on trend and great classic cuts of clothing that flatter every figure.
  2. What is your biggest style faux pas?
For me fashion is so individual and personal so I don’t believe in faux pas! If you love it, feel amazing in it and want to rock it DO IT!!
  3. Is there anything that you regret not buying?
Yes! This one amazing pair of nude pumps in Australia, they were on sale and I kept tossing it up and decided to save my money. To this day I still dream about those bad boys!
  4. Tell us why you love Farmers?
I love that Farmers is so easily accessible to every New Zealander, it has a great price point that is achievable for most! They have such amazing locations and it’s never too out of your way.

Tarryn Donaldson – I am Tarryn Donaldson

  1. Who do you look to for home inspiration? Tarryn Donaldson
I like to browse Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration; however, in saying that, I like to find the unique homes and decor through it all, as a lot of it can be all very similar and I do like to keep our home and kids’ room with an element of uniqueness to them.
  2. What’s your favourite Farmers brand?
Where do I start. My favourites would have to be Your Home and Garden, Tilly@home and Domani.
  3. What is your top interior style tip?
I like clutter free! In my mind less is more, and the less ‘stuff’ and clutter you have the better. A messy house here means a stressed mumma; when everything is in its place the house looks tidy (I didn’t say clean!!) and my mind is clearer too. Having a home for the things you use makes cleaning up and tidying up at the end of each day so much easier, toys thrown in baskets out of sight and computers and cords put in drawers.
  4. Tell us why you love Farmers?
I love Farmers as there is something for everyone no matter what their budget. We don’t have a lot of disposable income to spend on home decor pieces and new cushions each week when I change my mind (we own in Auckland!). I spend hours each week admiring beautiful pieces from expensive stores that, yes, I would love but I just couldn’t justify spending that much on something. With Farmers you can find beautiful quality on trend pieces that look amazing but don’t break the purse strings! It’s the best of both worlds.

Dawn – As Eliza Slept

  1. What is your top interior style tip? Katherine Lowe
My top interior style tip would be to embrace the balance between what you have and what you want. Many of us don’t live in the home of our dreams, or we have a long list of jobs to achieve it, but we can all work with the space we have to create a place that makes us feel happy in the here and now.
  2. Spend or splurge and why?
For key pieces of furniture I recommend a splurge, investing in the best you can to suit both purpose and pocket and then save by layering on decor pieces you can change up seasonally, or as the children/pets work their magic on them! Boring but true, always buy the best quality linen you can afford because really good pieces can last a lifetime.
  3. Tell us why you love Farmers
I love a department store, like most working mothers I’m generally time poor so I tend to either shop online or go destination shopping to places where I can tick off lots of purchases under one roof. Shopping in Farmers I can be assured of the quality, find all my favourite brands and with 56 stores nationwide, I know I can share my purchases with my followers on social media and they can find them in their local store or shop online without costly international shipping fees.

Caleb and Alice Pearson – Pearson & Projects

  1. What’s your favourite Farmers brand? Katherine Lowe
Linen House, I am obsessed with their Manchester – the fabric always feels great and looks even better.
  2. What are you looking forward to in the New Collection?
I love all the variations of materials and textures, the metals, wood, concrete, fur, wool, cotton – it creates a depth to styling that looks stunning.
  3. What is your top interior style tip?
With clients I always recommend having elements that “speak to each other”. What I mean by that is, that a conversation has one topic but different perspectives, elements of a room should do the same thing, and there should be a unity about the room but individual pieces with their own look..
  4. Is there anything that you regret not buying?
I found the first piece of artwork I would actually invest money into last summer; it was in the gallery for $1,800 which for me (and definitely Caleb) felt like a lot of money. A month later I still regretted not getting it so I called the gallery to see if it was still available – it was but it was now priced for $5,000. They had priced it wrong in the gallery when we had viewed the piece – had we brought it that day, we would have reaped the benefit of a typo! Oh and I brought a beautiful leather couch when we moved house, it looked incredible but wasn’t the most comfortable couch, actually it wasn’t comfortable at all.
